The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB)
The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) started with humble beginnings in 1974, and has grown to the leading hunger-relief agency in New England and one of the largest in the country. The GBFB provides over 61.8 million pounds of healthy food each year to more than 142,000 people each month.
Financial Planning Solutions, LLC’s involvement with the GBFB began in 2020 in an effort to help fight hunger facing many families after the onset of COVID-19.
In October 2022, the Financial Planning Solutions team participated in a community outreach volunteer day at the Greater Boston Foodbank. Our combined volunteer efforts helped to sort 7,920 pounds of food, equivalent to assisting to provide 8,100 meals for needy families.
